A New Resource for Your Community

We are excited to introduce Open Lines Longevity Center – a first-of-its-kind neuro-wellness and cognitive health destination opening this June in Redondo Beach. Designed as a multifaceted program for cognitive vitality and whole-person wellness, Open Lines brings together innovative approaches to support long-term cognitive health and longevity.

We saw the need.

People with neurological communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, stroke, or early cognitive changes, as well as people who simply want to optimize their cognitive health as they age, need and deserve more than a series of appointments to fulfill their potential, find community and connection. Thrive beyond the clinical setting!

We built it.

Overlooking the Redondo Beach coastline, Open Lines Longevity Center was custom designed to offer programming integrating one-to-one speech-language pathology services, evidence-based technology, wellness education, cognitive-motor training, and meaningful social engagement to complement and enhance what each alone could accomplish.

We filled the void.

Our doors open in June offering community-based programming Monday through Thursday in which participants will engage in six different experiences:

  1. A movement studio
  2. A brain games/challenge studio
  3. A community conversation space
  4. A quiet conversation group
  5. Three dedicated evidence-based technology rooms
  6. A relaxation room.

Daily programming will also include group education sessions focused on cognitive health and neuro-wellness. Individual sessions will be available for participants seeking one-to-one servirces with a speech-language pathologist.

We welcome you.

“I want to let everyone know how much Jessica Galgano has helped keep my voice strong using the LSVT LOUD® method. I practice everyday and the exercises keep me tuned up, so that when I interview people on my podcast, they can actually hear my questions. Thats kind of important in real life, too.”

Alan Alda | Actor, Writer

“I cannot express enough gratitude to the team at Open Lines... After a very difficult brain surgery, my husband lost his ability to swallow and his voice was severely affected... [Our therapist] met him exactly where he was—with incredible professionalism, patience, and genuine compassion... What she did goes far beyond therapy. She gave him confidence, dignity, and hope again.”

Carolina F.

Giving Life to a Vision

Speech TherapistAs the daughter of Purple Heart veteran who sustained combat-related traumatic brain injuries, Dr. Galgano’s personal experience as a care partner for a loved one with a neurological condition inspired her to obtain a degree in speech-language pathology at NYU and a subsequent doctorate in Biobehavioral Sciences from Columbia University, studying the neural underpinnings of respiratory-voice function.

In 2009, Dr. Galgano founded Open Lines Speech and Communication in New York City with the mission of reshaping the approach to neurological rehabilitation. This visionary practice specializes in the treatment of neurogenic respiratory-voice, cognitive communication, motor speech, and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke, frontotemporal changes, and progressive neurological disease (e.g., Parkinson disease, PSP).

Dr. Galgano currently serves as a faculty instructor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and has held adjunct professor positions with Columbia University, New York University, and San Francisco State University, where she taught graduate coursework in the areas of voice disorders and neurogenic communication disorders resulting from acquired and progressive neurological diseases. She is one of six LSVT LOUD® clinical experts and faculty instructors worldwide, teaching evidence-based therapy for neurological communication disorders globally.

She has held research positions at NYU Langone Health, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. In collaboration with neuroscientist Joy Hirsch, Dr. Galgano examined the neural underpinnings of voice, speech, and emotional processing to better understand how emotion influences communication.

Merging decades of clinical experience with the latest research, Dr. Galgano created a proprietary approach to treatment, The PRESENCE® Approach. This unique holistic approach incorporates elements of counseling, physical and cognitive rehabilitation, neuroscience, exercise, speech motor and cognitive-communication science, and mindfulness education provided via an empathetic approach to speech-language pathology.

Open Lines Longevity Center is the evolution of years of exceptional client outcomes with the PRESENCE® Approach and further elevates holistic care to promote cognitive health and neuro-wellness in ways that only the Longevity Center can provide.

"I have largely made my living with my speaking voice as a boxing commentator and analyst for networks such as ESPN, CNN, and Showtime... My therapy with Dr. Galgano lasted four weeks and was quite beneficial. But the biggest compliment I can pay Dr. Galgano is that from our very first session, she found the perfect balance of professionalism and personal touch."

Steve Farhood | Broadcaster, Showtime Sports

"My efforts under Jessica's instruction have been a tremendous success. I have grown from knowing very little in my understanding at the beginning of the process to having a much better comfort level in terms of word-finding and organization. I have reached these accomplishments in only two months and am comfortable that in the next six months, I will become even stronger under her leadership."

Unlike Anywhere Else in Greater Los Angeles … Or Anywhere!

  • A doctoral level speech-language pathologist plays an active role in daily programming – moving through the suites, observing, connecting, facilitating, and enhancing. Remote oversight and supervision of more junior clinicians is not an option.
  • Evidence-based technology you cannot access elsewhere. Three evidence-based experience suites with equipment used in state of the art neurological rehabilitation programs worldwide. Not just bells and whistles found on social media.
  • A true community and meaningful connection. Familiar faces four days a week. Encouragement, learning, shared experiences. You will never be alone on your wellness journey.
  • Tracked outcomes. Progress is tracked, reviewed, and guides programming. We monitor it, you will see it!
  • Care partners are welcomed and included as an important/integral part of programming. Participation is free during our June soft launch. We show up for the people who show up for you.

Founding Member pricing is available for the June 15 through July 10, 2026 soft launch only and will not return. Once spots are filled, enrollment closes.
