What Is Open Lines?
Not a clinic.
Not a class.
Something better.
The Art of Thriving, presented by Open Lines Longevity Center, is a community-based neuro-wellness program for people who take their cognitive health seriously. Whether you are managing a neurological condition or simply aging with intention, this is the event that did not exist until now.
Every day, a doctorate-level speech-language pathologist is present on the floor. Moving through the space. Watching. Available. The technology is evidence-based. The community is real. And the results are trackable.

A New Resource for Your Community
Open Lines Longevity Center is excited to present The Art of Thriving – a first-of-its-kind neuro-wellness and cognitive program launching August 2026 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Designed as a multifaceted program for cognitive vitality and whole-person wellness, Open Lines brings together innovative approaches to support long-term cognitive health and longevity.
We saw the need.
People who want to bend the curve on aging, along with people living with Parkinson's disease, stroke, or early cognitive changes, and people who simply want to protect their brain health as they age, deserve more than a series of appointments. They deserve a place. Somewhere to belong. Somewhere to go Monday through Thursday where the people understand, the technology is serious, and someone with real clinical expertise is in the room.
We designed it.
Our program is custom-designed to integrate clinical expertise, advanced technologies, wellness education, cognitive-movement training, and meaningful social engagement, to complement and enhance what no single approach can accomplish.
We filled the void.
We offer our community-based programming at Lincoln Center in New York in August 2026. Participants will engage in five different experiences:
- The Listening Studio: auditory and hearing discrimination training
- The Breath and Voice Studio: respiratory muscle training, voice, and cough strength
- The Stage: language, word-finding, storytelling, and communication
- The Rehearsal Room: executive function, including focus, working memory, and flexible thinking
- In Motion: dance-inspired movement, balance, and safe mobility
Daily programming also includes group education sessions focused on brain health and neuro-wellness. Individual sessions are available for interested participants.
Daily programming will also include group education sessions focused on cognitive health and neuro-wellness. Individual sessions will be available for participants seeking one-to-one servirces with a speech-language pathologist.
We welcome you.
“I want to let everyone know how much Jessica Galgano has helped keep my voice strong using the LSVT LOUD® method. I practice everyday and the exercises keep me tuned up, so that when I interview people on my podcast, they can actually hear my questions. Thats kind of important in real life, too.”
Alan Alda | Actor, Writer
“I cannot express enough gratitude to the team at Open Lines... After a very difficult brain surgery, my husband lost his ability to swallow and his voice was severely affected... [Our therapist] met him exactly where he was—with incredible professionalism, patience, and genuine compassion... What she did goes far beyond therapy. She gave him confidence, dignity, and hope again.”

Giving Life to a Vision
Dr. Jessica Galgano is a neuroscientist, a speech-language pathologist, and a care partner. As the daughter of a Purple Heart veteran who sustained combat-related brain injuries, and a care partner for a loved one with a neurological condition, she came to this work personally.
She holds a doctorate in Biobehavioral Sciences from Columbia University, where she studied the neural underpinnings of respiratory-voice function, and has held faculty positions at NYU, Columbia, and San Francisco State University. She is one of six LSVT LOUD® faculty instructors and clinical experts in the world. She has held research positions at NYU Langone Health, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and collaborated with neuroscientist Joy Hirsch on the neural underpinnings of voice, speech, and emotion.
Dr. Galgano developed the PRESENCE® Approach, a proprietary method that integrates counseling, physical and cognitive rehabilitation, neuroscience, speech and movement science, and mindfulness. The Open Lines Longevity Center and the Art of Thriving are the evolution of that work, elevating holistic care for brain health and neuro-wellness.

"I have largely made my living with my speaking voice as a boxing commentator and analyst for networks such as ESPN, CNN, and Showtime... My therapy with Dr. Galgano lasted four weeks and was quite beneficial. But the biggest compliment I can pay Dr. Galgano is that from our very first session, she found the perfect balance of professionalism and personal touch."
Steve Farhood | Broadcaster, Showtime Sports
"My efforts under Jessica's instruction have been a tremendous success. I have grown from knowing very little in my understanding at the beginning of the process to having a much better comfort level in terms of word-finding and organization. I have reached these accomplishments in only two months and am comfortable that in the next six months, I will become even stronger under her leadership."

A Healing Environment
Our community is surrounded by art and utilizes the vast archives of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
Cognitive Function: Art and literature stimulate neural pathways and promote brain plasticity.
Stress & Anxiety Reduction: Both art and socialization lower cortisol levels and shifts mental focus, serving as a grounding technique to calm the nervous system and manage chronic pain.
Enhanced Self-Awareness: Exposure to art helps to resolve internal conflicts, furthering one's understanding of your own emotional landscape.
Multi-Sensory, Interactive, Cognitive-Motor, Evidence-Based Technology
